Living with Pseudohypoparathyroidism type II
A form of pseudohypoparathyroidism in which the body resists parathyroid hormone, causing low calcium.
Understanding Pseudohypoparathyroidism type II
It causes low calcium, high phosphate, and high PTH levels. Unlike other types, there are no Albright's hereditary osteodystrophy features, and Gs protein and urine cAMP response are normal. It can start at any time in life.

Symptoms vary from person to person. GARD lists pseudohypoparathyroidism itself among the most common features, and these less common ones:
- Low calcium with high phosphate
- Muscle spasms

Not everyone has every symptom. GARD's list comes from the Human Phenotype Ontology.
