Living with Progressive transformation of germinal centers

A condition in which a lymph node becomes very enlarged, most often in the neck.

Understanding Progressive transformation of germinal centers

Progressive transformation of germinal centers (PTGC) is a condition in which a lymph node becomes very enlarged.

Usually only one lymph node is affected, though several can be. The neck is the most common spot, but it can also occur in the groin and armpits. Adults are affected more often than children, but children are more likely to have it come back. It is not considered a precancerous condition, though it has been linked with Hodgkin lymphoma.
