Living with Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis
A rare immune condition that causes long-lasting or repeated yeast infections of the skin, nails, and mouth lining.
Understanding Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis
The infections are mainly with a fungus called Candida albicans and can be hard to live with. GARD lists onset in infancy and childhood. Nail, lip, mouth, and skin changes are common.

- Repeated yeast infections of the skin and nails
- Changes in fingernails and toenails
- Changes in the mouth and lips

- Immune system differences
Not everyone has every symptom. GARD's list comes from the Human Phenotype Ontology.
