Living with Chondrosarcoma

A cancer of cartilage-forming cells that arises in bone or soft tissue, usually in middle-aged to older adults.

Understanding Chondrosarcoma

Chondrosarcoma is a malignant (cancerous) tumor that makes cartilage-like tissue and arises from bone and soft tissue.

It usually affects middle-aged to older adults. The pelvic bones, ribs, shoulder girdle, and long bones are the most common sites. Most chondrosarcomas start on their own, but some develop in an existing benign cartilage growth.
